When i first tried Huel RTD Berry and Strawberries & Cream I loved the taste. Then as time went on i just noticed how artifical tasting it was. It got so sickly to drink.
I tried yfood strawberry and berry flavours. The strawberry yfood is by far a trillion times better than the huel one. The yfood berry on the other hand tastes like white chocolate with vanilla and absolutely no berry taste lol. Im not sure why companies struggle so much with berry flavours.
Hopefully huel will bring out a new version of RTD strawberry and berry.
Well, taste perception is a very unique and personal thing so no one person will have the same experience because of the many variables involved (except Matcha – nobody TRULY likes Matcha – it’s literally the emperor’s new clothes of the F&B industry).
Personally, I find the v2 RTD’s the most natural tasting (although strawberries and cream isn’t my favourite) and Black Edition RTD the most synthetic tasting, thanks to its higher protein content.
Huel, like any other brand, will instead determine a flavours popularity based on several factors but largely on repeat purchases – so if isn’t broken sales figures wise, then it won’t get ‘fixed’ unless it must due to regulatory changes or supply chain challenges etc.

Hahahaha! I’m with you on Matcha! I tried a Matcha Chai Latte once from a popular chain of coffee shops. I can usually force things down if they’re not to my liking but I had to throw it away after just one sip
