This video: Is Too Much Salt Bad For You? | Huel Nutrition Myths #1 - YouTube
says ‘fruit is bad for you owing to sugar’ is a myth and then goes on to say how fruit is good for you.
BUT fails to mention that consumption of four fruits or more a day:
" Conclusion: The results of the present study indicated that consumption of fruits more than 4 servings/day exacerbates steatosis, dyslipidemia, and glycemic control in NAFLD patients. Further studies are needed to identify the underlying mechanisms of the effects of fruits on NAFLD."

So, for balance, this should have been mentioned.
Hi Chris, thanks for sharing.
Unfortunately I think this is a pretty poorly designed paper. The authors reported that the participants calorie intake should not have resulted in weight gain and was similar across both groups, however the high fruit group gained 7kg over 6 months.
The authors stated that the biomarkers measured, such as LDL, negatively changed independent of weight gain. However, we have huge amounts of data showing the opposite and so this cannot be a valid conclusion.
You can find out more about the issues with the study here, in that rebuttal paper I link to a study is also referenced where NAFLD patients consumed 6 servings of fruit a day and their health improved, showing opposite results to the study you’ve mentioned.
