Issues with over-consuming Huel?

As someone who wants to gain weight, according to the calorie calculator on I need to eat over 3,200 calories per day to increase my weight by 0.5 kg per week.

Assuming I only ate Huel, that would involve eating 4 pouches a week (which is described as a months supply, albeit for a woman who does not want to gain weight). Are there any risks with consuming so much? There is a high protein content, could that potentially cause any issues with breaking it down?

I am active and I go to the gym at least 3 times a week.


If you consumed 100% Huel, a 4 week supply which provides 56000kcal would last you 17.5 days. I don’t see why it would cause any more problems than eating 3200kcal a day of a well balanced traditional diet. Any protein that your body does not require will be turned in sugar and then fat.
