If you read back I’m not arguing with anyone, just trying to advise against buying into the massive hype around protein at the moment. It’s only a macronutrient, it isn’t the be all end all.
Gaining muscle mass. I’m most definitely what one would erroneously call a ‘hard gainer’. There really is no such thing as someone that ‘can’t build muscle’ saving for those with serious hormone conditions of course, but the problem is that consuming a sufficient amount of calories to gain weight can be a serious drag for those of us with faster metabolisms, who want to eat clean, AND build muscle.
Enter Huel. Easiest way ever to pack in seriously nutritious calories and trust me, waaaay cheaper than trying to achieve the same thing with meat and vegetables and a couple of green-protein-smoothies-loaded-with-MCTs a day.
