Has the RTD recipe changed?

Been drinking mostly the same flavour (Cinnamon Swirl) of RTD for multiple years now, and it’s only in the batches I’ve received in the past 6 months or so that I’m getting lots of dried up chunks of stuff in a circle around the lip of the bottle neck with a texture resembling silicon.

This never happened, not even once in the several years I was using RTD previously, and it’s now happening in like 8-9/12 bottles per box, so it must be something else has changed.

Is this some form of cost-cutting recipe change that gives a worse experience to the end user? Because the texture of it is deeply unpleasant and it’s really making me tempted to straight up stop my subscription as it’s that unpleasant (thanks autism).

Having a bad experience is not something we want for you so I’m sorry that you feel this is the case.

At times, during transportation, the content of the bottle can get shaken around. This results in a thin film of liquid forming in the inner walls of the bottle. Over time, there is evaporation, leaving behind solidified flakes or lumps that can become dislodged when the bottle is shaken.

Of course, this doesn’t make this alright and we’ll be happy to look into this for you. Can you drop us an email to team@huel.com with the batch details on the bottle so we can get this all looked into and investigated.
