Hot & Savoury Pots Update - Shift to Meal Packs

Hey all,

There’s been a lot of movement in the Hot & Savoury range recently, based on what we’ve learned over the last 1 year+, we have another change coming your way, this time with the Hot & Savoury Pots.

Starting relatively soon, we are going to begin the process of delisting the Hot & Savoury Pots in the UK and EU.

This will not be immediate and will be a gradual delist, if you are subscribed to Pots then we will prioritise keeping your sub going for as long as possible - the dates below reflect that.

Most flavours will go out of stock in the summer, this is just a very early heads-up as we will begin to send communications out to our German Hueligans this week - as 2 of our German products run out soon.

Just to state it one more time, this will begin in Germany, with the other regions following more towards the summer. Details and some answers to FAQ below.

Check your subscription nearer the time, this price reduction might just slip some people below the free shipping threshold, so be sure you’ve adjusted based on that.

Selection Box

If you are subscribed to our Pots Selection Box we will move you to our Noodles Meal Pack Selection box.

This will give you 2 additional meals per box (12 Pots →14 Meal Packs) and result in a small price increase overall, however like above, the price per meal will go down. There is a breakdown below by region and we will email nearer the time with more detail.

U.K.

Hot & Savoury Pots Selection Box (12 meals): £39.75/box, from £3.05 per meal → Hot & Savoury Meal Packs Noodle Selection Box (14 meals): £45/box, From £2.80 per meal

What Happens Next?

We still have stock of the Pots, so you will continue to receive them until this is worked through, but once existing Pot stock runs out, we will automatically move your subscription to the equivalent Hot & Savoury Meal Pack. No action is needed. If you do not want this to happen, you can update your subscription at any time by logging into your account. We will also be sending emails well ahead of time.

Quick note: if you’re new to Meal Packs, you will get the free Reusable Hot & Savoury Pot with your first order. All you need to do is pour your Meal Pack into your reusable pot, add the amount of boiling water listed on the back of the Meal Pack and leave it for at least 7 minutes - just like your Hot & Savoury Pots.

Why are you Delisting the Pots?

We’re doing this for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, we’ve had immensely positive feedback on our new Meal Pack format. These have become the preferred method for Hueligans to get their Hot & Savoury, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Second, when Ifirst talked about H&S moving from Pouches to Meal Packs, I mentioned some of the key metrics we look at, things like NPS, Complaints, and Repeat Rate. What we have found is that Meal Packs are doing what we want them to do, but Pots aren’t getting the same results.

Meal Packs have better repeats, lower complaints and a higher net promoter score, and since the products are identical to Meal Packs, it leads us to our third point of having the same flavours in the Meal Packs and the Pots (One straggler flavour coming soon :eyes:). This creates unnecessary confusion for new customers as well as a bit of redundancy in our line-up.

Additionally, the Meal Packs price point is lower than the Pots, which is due to packaging/production costs. I know that this is quite an update, so please feel free to let us know any questions, comments or concerns that you may have here in the comments.

Also, this does not mean you won’t see a Hot & Savoury Pot product ever again. We will continue to evolve the range, and are working on some new and exciting H&S products.

Again we appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to evolve the Hot & Savoury line, and we hope you’re as excited about the future as we are!

That’s good news for me. The only pot I buy is carbonara because at the moment it’s the only h&s meal that is isnt in sachets and I never used the actual pots and just decanted them into a thermos meal pot. In fact I did that today.

Well what a result!

Think how much space you’ll be saving…

Yeah. I currently have 3 cases of it in my kitchen…in sachets that would take up less space than one case.

Given that Carbonara is the only flavour in pots and not in sachets, does that mean Carbonara is moving over to sachets or that it is disappearing forever?

No. It states in the OP that it is moving to sachets in around June. And also when I mentioned it above @Mark_Huel further reiterated it in his response.

It says delisting, not moving. If it is moving, the wording is very ambiguous.

No offence, but I’d rather hear a definitive answer from an official person.

Sorry if the initial message was not clear.

Carbonara is coming to meal packs a little later this year!

Honestly, no joke I have sachets dotted around in various places.

Kitchen, car, wife mums kitchen cupboard, desk…and these are all the places I can remember :joy:

Thanks @Mark_Huel.

Good news!

It wasn’t ambiguous

And anyway Mark confirmed it again.

Aye, me too. My OH isn’t always impressed..

Why are you the way that you are?

I was trying to be helpful. If you can’t read, it’s really not my fault.

Folks.

Let’s keep it saucy, not salty. This is a positive post, unless we’re debating Carbonara ingredients or optimal Textured Vegetable Protein distribution, let’s simmer it down and keep it about the product :spaghetti:
