Can’t wait to try these. Will there be a selection box with the different flavours?

Reckon I’ll hop on to the grain ones as I’ve not used them in a while and the new recipe is intriguing.

The Mexican is ridiculously tasty!!

I think selection box would be a great idea for occasional users or those wanting to try them

Thanks for this, I’ve been asking for these pouches since the beginning! The reason I stopped eating Hot & Savoury is the mess it was to make them every time. Well I was still ordering them from time to time, but not as much as I would have otherwise. I will order these again once I used up the rest (now with more motivation). By the way, only grain for me  What happened to Tomato & Herb? I actually quite liked it. After adding some chilli, black pepper, and salt  I stopped ordering Thai Green Curry as I never could get the right consistency for that one (either too watery, or dry, but never something I liked). I will give it a try again.

Wait, are these really made in USA? That will be a deal breaker for me. I’m still somehow ok with the UK, even though not EU anymore, but definitely no made in USA.

Also, what happened to the quinoa, and I have the impression that there are less vegetables in it now? Like no sweet potatoes in the madras one?

thats what the labelling says…

pretty sure James covered this extensively in a reply but for the life of me, I cant find it. I think the quinoa got the boot because of the slimy texture of it when it’s in liquids. Something like that.

Yeah, found the other thread now, I did not get a notification for that one or missed it. Because of the consistency. I understand, but I had no problem to the consistency. I prefer what we had if it comes with quinoa and flaxseed and sweet potatoes, etc. But anyway, I could probably get over it, at least try it once to see how it is. But no USA products if I have an alternative, and when it comes to food I have alternatives.

definitely agree with you on this one.

Will do, will probably be the following week anyway, as my order will go in mid of next week to arrive by end of the week, and will only have one per day.

Made in the USA?! :frowning:

Let us address this right away, as I’ve seen some more comments spin off this. Right now, they are temporarily being made in the USA. The plan all along was for them to be produced in our new Milton Keynes Factory, but it’s just been a little slower getting off the ground, so we’ve utilised our US factory (Where the US pouches are being produced) for a stop gap. Production should start around the end of may meaning these will be in your hands around summertime!

We have had to remove quinoa and reduce flaxseed, this massively benefits texture as both ingredients contributed to that slimy, gel-like texture our Grains had. Quinoa is also an expensive ingredient, so there are multiple reasons for its removal. As a result of these changes there is an improved rice-to-sauce ratio that makes this look closer to something you’d make at home.

Thanks for the clarification. Will you let us know somehow when the non-US version will be available? In my case in Germany. I will try them once you are selling the European version.

I can understand that for some looks / texture is important. For me what it is made of is also very important, not just that it has lots of protein and all the essential nutrients. I was very happy with the original ingredients, and am less happy with the current ones, because I have the impression that variety (of the “real food” ingredients) has been reduced. I only had consistency issues with Thai Green Curry (because I couldn’t get the water level right with that once for some reason) I did not mind the gel-like texture, mostly because flavour was top (with some extra salt in my case). I understand your reasons though, I can imagine that there are people more picky than me when it comes to texture. And I am very picky when it comes to real food, I only eat my pasta perfectly al-dente, make sure that my risotto has the exact consistency that I like etc, but with Huel we are in a different context and I differentiate between those.

Thanks Mark, very glad to hear the US imports are only temporary.
