Huel Sainsbury's?

So cold for the win?

I have recently been able to get hands on the RTD, and I have tried both Chocolate and Vanilla room temperature (have berry waiting). I was satisfied with the experience of drinking them at RT; actually I am kind of afraid to have them colder.

Do you think there is a noticeable difference?

Sainsbury’s does have free from chilled sections tho. At least every one I visited has. Still think it’s not the best location.

I remember Sunny D was always sold chilled, when it was really just a bunch of chemicals that could live for decades at room temp. Do they still make it? Never actually tried it.

Berry RTD is better chilled in my opinion
And chocolate RTD is better room temp
I don’t like vanilla at any temperature

Thanks Tim!

Oh, I thought Vanilla was OK actually. Better than Chocolate, if you were to ask me :zipper_mouth_face:

Depends on your tastes I suppose. Chocolate is very bland and not sweet.
Berry is very sweet but also delicious and by far the best out of all of them. It’s nothing like the berry powder.
Vanilla… was sour… maybe I got a bad one :confused::face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_monocle:

The berry one tastes kind of like a berry flavoured yoghurt. And eating nothing but berry flavoured yoghurts all day is pretty much a dream come true. For me, the only way life could possibly get any better is if somebody invented nutritionally complete satsumas.

Another day, another fruitless trip to Sainsbury’s. Today they couldn’t even find the chocolate RTD in the stockroom. Their stock checker says they have both in stock. Still no shelf location on their internal staff app so they are still telling me that means it hasn’t been put on the shelves yet. They still apparently only have part of their original delivery as they have less stock than the amount that arrived which means it looks like they’ve sold some bottles but have no idea how as they aren’t on the shelves. Maybe they have a secret Huel fan working there who is buying single bottles from where they’ve stashed it in the stockroom! :smirk:
Their Customer Service Manager is going to speak to one of the Food Managers tomorrow to find out what is going on and then give me a call.
@Tim_Huel - I’m trying really hard to get them to hunt down in their stockroom and actually put it out on the shelves! Given all the effort what are the chances of getting Berry RTD in Sainsbury’s too as that’s my favourite flavour of the three RTDs? :wink:

I think all the RTDs are good.

Yep I like them room temp too!

I like them at room temp as well. Luckily I live in an igloo. I can’t stand it warm.

Okay :laughing: sorry if that sounded harsh - it wasn’t meant to come out that way!
Just seems Sainsbury’s are being pretty rubbish and apathetic about putting it out in the right places, or at all, in some stores.

@Liath is getting on their ass about it though - maybe send her across the country to sort out the rest of the stores :grin:

I drank my berry RTD at car temperature. I was sat in my car at the time.

@Liath Same here, after being told it was in stock I arrived at Sainsbury only for the customer service woman to tell me “we don’t have that, never heard of it.” I informed here they do so she checked her little app but apparently they are awaiting a delivery on the 12th. Think I’ll give up and stick to powder.

Naw you’re so great, thanks for the perseverance. Love to see this, sorry it’s not in. Which store are you trying for? (sorry if I’ve missed this info)

You’re forgiven :hugs:. Compliance is difficult to check, basically what brands often do is send a really expensive agency to check all of them and then with that data we would go to Sainsbury’s and tell them “compliance isn’t good, here’s all the data” and they would send out a memo to all the stores.

Honestly, such commitment :fist:

@Annie1 which store was this? Definitely on the store locator?

It must be really disheartening when stores do this. All seems so inept.

Is there plans to have it in any other stores other then Sainsbury’s?

@Tim_Huel
Dartford, definitely on the locator.

It’s the Brookwood store just on the outskirts of Woking. It’s one of their large format out of town stores and according to their instore app they should be stocking both flavours. They have confirmed they’ve had deliveries of both (2 cases of each) and one manager even managed to lay hands on two bottles of chocolate in their stockroom on Sunday which they’d managed to lose track of by Monday. They don’t seem to have a clear instruction on what it is and it being delivered ambient and ranged chilled seems to be causing problems at that branch at least in allocating a place in their stockroom.

Any other votes for getting Berry RTD in Sainsbury’s alongside Chocolate and Vanilla as a priority? I’m sure I’m not the only one who prefers Berry to the other flavours. @ChristinaT, @Bee, @RyanT, @Marcus?

Yep, Berry is my favourite RTD and the only one I buy regularly.
It’s by far the best RTD and I’m really surprised it’s not the first to go into the stores.
I’m wondering what the logic is behind this.
I’m sure it would draw more customers to Huel than the other flavours
