Interview with Huel Founder Julian Hearn | YouTube |

Hey Guys,

Well Huel just announced some pretty exciting news securing £20m in funding. So hopefully we’re going to see more to come including a ready to drink range (told by founder).

I’ve lived off Huel for 3 weeks straight and personally really enjoyed it but was lucky enough to interview the founder Julian Hearn for our podcast and YouTube recently. Not sure if of interest but he was an awesome dude and some Huelers said they found it really useful to see the man behind the business. One thing that came through is he obviously puts a lot of time and attention in to trying to deliver good service and to pay attention to appeasing his customers.

I hope you enjoy it - link here if you want it. https://youtu.be/mMDAV2j5PdA YouTube Interview.

I wasn’t really interested in the interview…what won me over was the fact you have a job that allows you to make a living while swigging Brewdog.

I wish, completely done on the side! My main job is raising capital for start-ups.

Haha…I was kidding…It’s good…I’ve only watched first 40 minutes, it’s too long for a one sitting…I have ADD. Great to hear the back story from the horse’s mouth.

Haha ADD is why we all enjoy the Huel my brother! Food and then go stations. Really appreciate you having a glance through, it is long. We will chop them up eventually…

Breaking it up will be good…but yeah I will go watch the second part tomorrow.

Love this interview, Ed. Thanks for sharing and for producing it. Julian’s done a lot of interviews but I think this one is probably the most personal. Loads of detail on his mentality and ethos, inspiring stuff.

Thanks very much Tim. I have been a long user of the product and was a proud day indeed. We’ve shown it to quite a few people on the fence about Huel who seem to see the story goes well beyond ‘food in a bag’ and quite a few have now tried it which is awesome.

I listened to this on a long drive on Saturday. Very good interview.

The companies that let Julian down in the early days will be kicking themselves now!

Thanks Mark. Julian was terrific and he’s done really well on creating a community around what he’s building. We work with a lot of entrepreneurs and he was easily one of the most impressive i’ve ever met.

As for the people who messed him about…:man_facepalming:
