I contacted Huel telling them that I had misplaced my 5000 meal shaker / T-shirt and they sent me another one promptly, no questions asked. Theyāre a decent bunch!
sorry, does this mean that the loyalty rewards are staying even with the introduction of Huel+. So I can keep working towards my next loyalty shaker?
They are indeed lāve only ever had to contact the team a few times in 10 years and their interactions have been faultless.

Saying years of loyalty points are erased āto make it fair for everyoneā is contradictory. I check in occasionally to see how close I am to the gold shaker. Now Iām told by customer service earlier this week that itās all erased and nothing I can do about it, because new people might feel disadvantaged? Thatās not fairness ā that is literally penalising longterm supporters, wiping out their progress (in my case half a decade + spends hundreds on Huel a month), which is the opposite of rewarding/incentivising loyalty.
This same scripted āfair for everyoneā line repeated on the forum and customer service is also dismissive, patronising your loyal customers by dressing a business decision in vague, feel-good justification, undermining Huelās usual brilliant transparency and care. Yeah, itās just some coloured shakers. But I know Iām not the only one who is getting more and more tired of companies using corporate semantic gloss. Just be upfront ā too much work, too costly, etc.
Though would it have really been that hard to simply say hey, as a thank you, if you racked up 1000+ points, you get Ā£10 off, 2000+ gets Ā£20, 3000+ gets Ā£30 ā with a 60 day window to claim it by signing up to Huel+? Still not as cool as a gold Huel shaker, but itād bridge it in an actually fair manner, generate excitement, start Huel+ off with a big customer base boost, and also simplify the transition reward while testing the new system by putting it through Huel+. Rather than combining the erasure of years of points with fairness/equal opportunity PR speak and ironically zero care about past loyalty, leaving a bad taste and stain on your biggest supporters.
Huelās customer service is usually amazing ā the best Iāve dealt with and the gold standard ā so Iām surprised by this. Youāve made some great decisions the past couple years. This wasnāt one of them. Not the new scheme as that looks great, but the disregard of your most loyal customers. Whatās nuts is how simple it would have been to acknowledge the inability to directly transfer points, and instead bridge it with a basic transitional gesture, while creating a great marketing opportunity out of it. All this did was butcher my interest.
I rate the new scheme Huel+. I rate the handling of it Huel-.
I think Iām around halfway between the silver and gold rewards. Iāve emailed to see if I can have them now. Iāll post how I got on. Looks like Hunzas already got a result doing this.

Interested to know how you get on. All I received from customer service was the identical phrasing on this thread, feeling like a pre-made script snippet to give to anyone asking.
When I click on the link you included it leads me to Huel+ | Earn Rewards Every Time You Fuel Up | Huel US (Iām from Germany) and that page says āpage not foundā (Seite nicht gefunden). And on the main page I canāt find anything about Huel+.

Yes indeed. It worked for me. But as is evident on the forum, I am a total charmer and also ask nicely.
Also I think the person who was told the history has been erased was misinformed as that was definitely not the case yesterday when I asked for further info on my Huel order history.
