I guess what they hint at is that when you eat solid food, your energy takes a huge dip because of digestion. But with liquid food, it is already easy to digest. But talking about GI in this thread it could also be a correlation to not having jumpy GI levels compared to the graph, or am I in the woods?
Yes that is what they are hinting at but without the second axis we are just guessing.
Anyone can make a graph. Take a look at one that I just made which proves that chocolate keeps time constant:
Brilliant @Marcus - is it ok if I put that on our homepage
@Julian I have created a new graph for you which you are welcome to use on the front page of the Huel website as evidence of its effectiveness. It shows that drinking Huel makes a person more excellent. The steady upward line shows that, over time, excellence is clearly steadily increased. Also, the green colour of the line proves that Huel is made from natural ingredients.
Did you use some kind of smoothing function on the data?
No, I just used the straight line tool in Paint.
Ah. MS Paint, the choice of government statisticians.
@Marcus I think you have a bright future in the government.
Just looking the graph, MANA plots āproductivityā vs time when eating āsolid foodā, and āsenses sharpnessā vs time when eating MANA.
I ate MANA and I can say that it fails in giving mid term energy.
@Marcus Iād love to produce graphs like that but I didnāt go to university so I canāt even muster a pie chart.
Oh, pie.
@Blenks I didnāt go to university either. Iām just naturally very clever.
broke down again. Alongside the palpitations that made for quite the drug experience. Not that I didnt like it, but its definitely not the kind of thing you want from your every day food. I much prefer the normal saturated feeling of huel, giving you just reasonable energy like from a real meal over a sufficient amount of time and not crushing down suddenly. Also, the cravings for pizza, whole grain bread, savoury food etc. are much less on huel. I guess the more fat and protein, the fewer short carbs, the better for your saturation.
Joylent is a carb bomb. Just threw out 3 packs of it because it just made me fat.
@ruipacheco Is it the maltodextrin?
So Iām not familiar with the use of glucometers or their accuracy but by going with your assumption of a 5-10% variance in the data, youāre incorrect in suggesting that the difference between the two data sets stretches beyond this. You said itās a possible error of 5-10% in each measure so almost every comparable point in your chart can be swung to show the other being higher if you have a 10% increase in one and a 10% drop in the otherā¦
Iām sure the trend is probably correct but thought I should point this out nonetheless.
@PacoA: Thanks for sharing this. There is nothing that beats solid data.
Does anyone know a data source with a slightly larger N-size on the glucose measurements after Huel intake?
