Tesco’s are trialling a thing with Loop where they sell products in returnable/reusable packaging (there’s a refundable deposit). I’m trying to cut down on plastics so would absolutely love to see tubs of Huel powder sold this way.
(All the stores in the trial are ‘down south’ for now, can’t wait for them to reach the North West!)
Any chance of something like this happening, or is the user base not big enough to support it yet?
Thanks for the question Gill. It’s something we have looked into, but to be honest it, wouldn’t work with our current logistics set-up and is super expensive.
We’re also trying to look for global solutions and this wouldn’t work in the US.
I totally understand why you don’t like plastics but they perform their job really, don’t take up much space so reduce transport emissions and take little to produce.
