It’s going to be a huge break through when scientists work out how food energy is used by the human body.
This article proves what I suspected. The calorie is not a very accurate way of measuring how your body uses food energy.
Until then, results prove healthy food calories are better at keeping the flab off than unhealthy food calories! Who woulda thought it!

Great find! There are also a few other limitations of the Atwater system which we detail in our article here.
On the whole nuts are an exception so you can still use calories to help you with weight loss if that works for you.
