Creamy Huel “RTD-Style” Shake

This took a lot of experimenting, but I finally made a homemade Huel shake that’s really close to the smooth texture of the Ready-to-Drink version by using regular powder bags.

Is it fast? Not really.
Is it cheaper? Definitely.
Less plastic waste? Yep.

I like my Huel extra creamy, so here’s the method that worked best for me.

Ingredients

  • 300 ml water

  • 100 ml oat milk

  • 2–4 ice cubes

  • 2 scoops of Huel Black
(Huel Black blends smoother and less oaty than Huel White)

  • ESN Flavor Powder or another sweetener of choice

  • 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt (I used 2% fat)

Instructions

1. Blend the liquid first

Add the following to a high-speed blender:

  • Water

  • Oat milk

  • Ice cubes

Blend until the ice is fully crushed.

This creates a light milkshake-like texture without adding extra calories.

2. Add the remaining ingredients

Add:

  • Huel Black

  • Flavor powder/sweetener

  • Greek yoghurt

The Greek yoghurt helps make the shake smoother and silkier.

(You could also add ingredients like banana or cream for even more creaminess, but that will increase the calories.)

3. Blend thoroughly

Blend everything for at least 45 seconds in a high-speed blender (like a Nutribullet).

4. Chill

Put the shake in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

This helps the texture thicken and smooth out.

5. Final blend

Give it one more quick blend after chilling.

Then drink your heavenly smooth, creamy Huel shake :innocent: :folded_hands: :star_struck:
