Fat soluble vitamins on Diet Huel?

Looks like Huel Diet only has 5g of fat on each 52g scoop. If these scoops are spaced evenly during the day then it might mean that the fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) have very little fat to help absorption? My understanding is that it’s best to have about 10g of fat to maximise aborption of these vitamins [citation needed].

Is 5g per scoop still enough to retain all of the ingested fat soluble vitamins?

I don’t know anything about a “scoop”, but if you use a kitchen scale, then you get 12g of fat per 100g of powder, which fits your “10g of fat to maximise aborption”.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you!

It’s true that fat consumption supports the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, with a figure in the region of 11g per meal cited as an ‘optimal’ intake for vitamin D specifically. However, it’s most likely the case that regular consumption of fat-soluble vitamins irrespective of the fat content of the meal is far more significant in the context of serum levels of these vitamins and therefore health outcomes.

As fat is the most energy-dense macronutrient, it’s usually the best option to reduce this slightly in the development of weight loss products like Huel Diet to reduce calorie content without significantly impacting volume.
