Horrible hives/rash

Guysssss I have exciting news.

I had 3 scoops of Huel on December 22, same on December 23 and 3 scoops again today (all vanilla) and am ready to declare myself Huel tolerant. Nothing has happened! No itchiness, no rash, not even a flushed face.

So tomorrow I will again try 2 scoops of vanilla and 1 scoop of coffee for lunch and 3 scoops of vanilla for dinner (the combination/servings on the day of the incident) and see how I get on with all that B12.

@JamesCollier Is there anything in the coffee that isn’t in the vanilla that I should be aware of?

If all goes well I’m happy to chalk it up to a freak coincidence or eating too many almonds (I have cut them out as well during this little experiment).

Good to hear.

The only different ingredient is the coffee powder.

I have experienced this several times but to a lesser degree and am having it now as I write having just had my vanilla breakfast shake. It’s only this morning that I have clicked what it is that has done this to me several times. I also drink the chocolate flavour but cannot remember if I had the same reaction then too as didn’t think it could possibly be the shake! Weird- I am not generally an allergic person and am very disappointed as I do like the taste of these.

Hey Celine, sorry to hear you’re getting a rash. There’s a huge number of things this could be. You could try eliminating Huel and seeing if it clears up but there may well be other factors, I know many people get rashes or similar ailments as a result of the heat. But hopefully you can try and eliminate a few options then build yourself back up to having Huel more.
