Huel-Flaxseed-Testosterone

Well, reading a bit around the forum made me realize that things that for me are absolute non-issues for others are serious health problems (… and also that there is people who blow things out of proportion with amazing ease).

So I prefer to be over-cautious. The rest of the post I quoted from sounded maybe serious, so… I wonder.

Sounds like you might be.

But this might get you started on filling in some gaps in your knowledge…

  1. Bio-individuality
  2. Diet & Hormones
  3. Effects Of Hormone Medication

On one hand, it’s touching that you took the time to generate those links for me. It’s just a pity that you didn’t use that time to, you know, actually post something educative.

On the other hand, you seem to refer now to side effects of hormone therapy . But your first post talked about the effect of things like fricking tofu. There’s like a different order of magnitude here. Probably more than one.

So, are you saying that tofu and flax seeds cause in you effects of the kind seen in hormone therapy? Or what?

Sorry if I ask too agressively, I’d hate to cause some other hormone imbalance!

Load of rubbish, no offence, TRT/HRT is not comparable to phytoestrogens!

I’m on TRT and most the list mentioned (won’t let me quote the screen shot…) is bs sorry it is. The list shown above is probably exactly what would he happening to a guy WHO NEEDS TRT not one who is already on it.

Low Testosterone = major menopause symptoms.

Its genuinely scary seeing people say TRT Does this sort of nonsense. Smh.

We’re both tests taken at the same time of day? (before 9am)

Have the testosterone levels changed?

What were the levels before and after?

Was there a change in alcohol consumption between the 2 periods?

Have you gained weight?

Apologies for all the questions, I love comments like this, especially if they are backed up by bloods!

Guys

I stopped Huel a couple of weeks after my original comment. I found that it made me feel teary, anxious and it seemed to affect my sex drive and performance for the negative. Once I stopped, things were back on track. Couldn’t say it was the Huel for certain or raised Estrogen but cessation made me feel a whole lot better.

Your mileage may vary of course but I gave mine away. I was taking 1-2 shakes a day if I remember rightly.

Hope that helps

Out of interest we’re you consuming exactly the same amount of Calories when using Huel as you were prior to using it?

bumping this as older guy too

Nothing to bump, unless someone can find me some studies to deconstruct, done on flaxseed and testosterone. I’m aware it can lower DHT slightly short term, that’s about it.
