Ihave a photo of the weirdest one I saw…because it amused me. Morrisons in Glastonbury. Glastonbury is home to knights fish and chips shop, which won fish and chip restaurant of the year 2024, and probably put their prices up accordingly and people can’t afford a fish supper and condiments.
I just think it’s sad.
Imagine being so poor you have to steal food.
I totally agree…and unfortunately this is a very poor area. Additionally. there is a big drug and alcohol problem.
I was talking to the manager of my local Co-op a few months ago… The shop opened in March 2023 and in the year to March 2024 they had over £90,000 of alcohol stolen…around 250 quid a day.
They have subsequently locked all the spirits in cabinets…only accessible with a member of staff. That’s sobered me up no end.
It’s a shite state of affairs when food becomes a luxury item…
Yes @hunzas i noticed the same in Morrisons yesterday. All bottles of spirit in locked cabinets with notice to get a member of staff to assist. Only problem i could not find any members of staff on shop floor. 
They aren’t at the checkouts either, as those are all self serviced now. All made redundant I guess as a cost saving measure
