Hi all. I’m a newbie and loving Huel! My query is that whilst I know that using milk instead of water would enhance flavour and texture and so forth, I’m also aware that milk is known to severely affect the absorption of certain vitamins/ minerals/ nutrients. For this reason, isn’t it best to avoid adding milk altogether?
The main thing I’ll inhibits the absorption of is iron (due to the calcium content). Huel has a higher level of iron in it to counteract the competition from the calcium. Adding milk on top may bring your daily calcium too high, but it shouldn’t cause issues with iron.
Other minerals I’m less sure of but I don’t think it would be an issue.
