Okay so the chocolate version is definitely not for me. It indeed has an artificial aftertaste. It was slightly better coming from the fridge but I still had to add coffee and cacao to make it drinkable for me.
Tonight I’ll try vanilla and chocolate combined. Let’s see if that’s better.
If you can get the Chocolate Cherry that works well with chocolate Huel and I quite like the Gingerbread with vanilla Huel. I’ve also started adding a chai latte mix to vanilla Huel
Ah those are the limited edition FB’s. I think I’ll give chocolate cherry a try because I really don’t like Huel Black Chocolate.
Have you tried mixing with Huel White btw? I just made a shake with a scoop Huel Original, a scoop of Huel Black Vanilla and salted caramel FB. Delicious!!!
I loved black chocolate initially but now I’m struggling to drink it
V2.3 UU plus cacao fb will be my all time favourite. I could drink that forever (if it still existed )
I have tried it with 2.3 original and black vanilla and both times it was delicious, i have mint chocolate and might just throw it in to see whats up, never know what combinations work right? I mean, who would’ve thought chicken nuggets dipped in milkshake would be so delicious
This morning I stood on the scales : 74,5kg. No gain, no loss. As expected after a few days of eating what I wanted when I was at the conference and food was provided for me.
Today was another good day. Had a personal training this morning. A pretty intensive one. Did two Huel meals, one Huel snack and a regular meal.
I liked it right from the start, but i must admit i am bored. So adding other things. Coffee, fruit, cinnamon, extra cacao. the ISE was a big convention in the Rai. Was scared of Corona
I had to look this up but that looks really interesting. But I wasn’t there though. I was at the Big Room Planning for Aegon in Leeuwarden. A two day conference for employees only.
With the amount of Huel we consume corona doesn’t stand a chance (just kidding, it is horrible though)
I’m really in the Huel flow right now. I prepared three Huels for today and when I’m a busy as today is so easy to drink them and go on. Exercising in the evening also helps. That’s when I usually plunder the refrigerator when I’m watching tv. But not today!
This was not a good day. Funny how one day can be good and the next day can be off again.
It started good with a Huel but the other two I had premade for today I did not drink. It bothers me that it’s too thick. I use 500ml and 2 scoops but after a night in the fridge is so thick that I can’t really drink it will. I like it watery.
So for tomorrow I made 3 shakes with 500ml and 1 scoop Black and 0,5 scoop White. Let’s see if that is more to my liking.
The rest of the day I eat crap I don’t even want to write about it. I did exercise for some damage control. Tomorrow we’ll try again.
You’re doing great! Even Melanie must have some off days! I’ve been trying the Huel bars lately instead of shakes and I’m really liking the chewing experience. They’re also really filling and I have found that one bar (200cal) fills me up just as much as a 400cal Shake.
Its a silly suggestion but its what i do, have you tired just, adding more water after you take it out the fridge?
I’m currently trying to find the right balance with 3.0, with the different texture it doesnt taste right at the same thickness i had 2.3, but i find it pours a LOT slower, and then adding water takes a VERY vigorous shake to get the water to mix in properly, but you can definitely adjust thickness post-fridging
I’ve switched from 2 scoops per shake to 1.5 which makes it perfectly drinkable for me but I’ve noticed I need to add an extra shake because otherwise the amount of calories is too low.
So for tomorrow I made 4 shakes instead of three. I received my flavour boosts tonight. I ordered chocolate cherry and gingerbread based on people’s suggestions here on the forum. Had a little sip but wasn’t liking them immediately. But let’s see what happens after a night in the fridge.
I’m also experimenting a little bit. I now have 8 different flavour boosts and was thinking of mixing them and also mixing black and white.
For tomorrow I made the following :
Black Vanilla with White Vanilla and gingerbread
Black Choc with White Vanilla and Chocolate cherry
Black Choc with White Vanilla and instant coffee and cacao powder
Black Vanilla with White Vanilla and salted Caramel and peanut butter flavour boost
If anyone knows other delicious mixes, please let me know.
