Nutritional Fulfilment

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before, but I have a question about the nutritional fulfilment.

Huel fulfils all the nutritional requirements necessary. My query is, us this based on eating huel 100% of the day. So 4 meals of 500 calories a day? I.e. each meal would account for 25% of my nutritional needs for the day?

So if I am of using huel for 2 of my 3 meals, I would need to complete my nutritional balance within my normal meal in the evening. Is that right?

I may be over complicating it! Either way, I am loving huel, the taste, the health benefits, the control of calories and helping with weight loss.
Thanks
Jon

You’re correct, Huel is nutritionally complete at 2000kcal. This doesn’t mean we want you to eat Huel for every meal, rather it means that every single Huel meal is totally balanced in the right proportions. To hit all your reference intakes then your other meals would also need to contribute to this.

Hope this helps you Jon, let us know if you need anything else!

Perfect, thank you for confirming.

Here’s how you should think about it:

Spinach has a certain nutritional profile. It is good for you. Does it become any less good for you because you have spinach at dinner but you had fast food at lunch? No.

So Huel is nutritionally complete for whatever percentage of the calories you eat are Huel. If Huel is 25% of your daily caloric needs, then it is providing 25% of your nutritional needs for the day.

Whereas if you consider potato chips/crisps, 25% of your daily caloric needs in these snack foods provides significantly fewer than 25% of your needs in many nutrients, and significantly more then 25% of your needs in some fats.

But I don’t think of it as “nutritionally complete at 2000kcal”, it is nutritionally complete for the % of your caloric needs you eat of it.
