I had half a choco RTD, left it on my bedside table overnight, then drank it (unrefrigerated) the following day. It was fine. I actually prefer choco RTD at room temp
Chocolate doesn’t have a “use by” date. It has a “best before”, is that what you mean?
To everyone else, I know this should be common sense, but “use by” means use by, and “best before” means best before.
By all means exceed “best before” dates. The manufacturer is simply saying it might not taste as good after this date. You should be wary of exceeding “use by” dates, however (personally I allow 24 hours, because it can’t be an exact science – but no more than that because it’s not worth the risk of food poisoning).
With RTD Huel it says “refrigerate and consume by with 12 hours”, which I suppose is almost the same as “use by”, but it’s unclear. I’ve just tried drinking a RTD Huel that was opened and refrigerated about 18 hours ago… and yeah, it does taste funny actually :-/
Hopefully I won’t die.
Spoiler alert…you will die but very unlikely due to drinking this bottle of Huel.
Back to the original question.
An opened bottle of RTD Huel lasts no longer than 10 minutes in my house
