Toxicity of Oats in Supply Chain

Hi @Julian,

I’d like to know about the toxicity of the oats used in Huel. As stated in the article below, there is a distinct possibility that mouldy can grow on oats.

Could you guarantee us that there is no contamination with any toxins please.

From that article there is a safe level set in the EU. We are still in the EU (as I write) so Huel would have to meet the safe level. That isn’t the case in the US which is why they did the test to see how much of a problem it might be there.

Hi Lewis

There is no risk of ‘toxicity’ with the oats used in Huel. We conform to all strict regulations for transport and storage and they are tested for a number of things.

We can, and have to, guarantee there is no contamination.
