100% Huel (100% white? 100% black? Or 50%/50%?)

Hello

I’m very happy with the results using Huel Black for 50% of my calories and I’m currently experimenting on using it 100% on some days.

I’m consuming the right amount of calories, but I worry/wonder if the balance (carbs/protein/fat) may be off balanced.

Any thoughts? What are your personal experiences?

I wonder if I continue to venture further into a 100% diet of Huel. Shall I stick to Huel Black? Shall I switch to Huel White? Or maybe a combination of the two would be more appropriate?

Thank you

Is there anyone there? Please?

For a 100% Huel diet you’re probably better off using the v3.1 for a better balance of macronutrients: more carbs, not too much protein.

Stick with your 50%. Seems a decent balance and eat normally for the other part.

No one is ever going to be able to stick to 100% huel for rest of their life so strike up a balance you can stick to everyday.

You see a fair few people on here with big plans to do this and that, they always stop posting after a while which probably means they have not only fallen off the wagon, they have stopped huel altogether IMO.

Huel is a great product but not meant for 100% but more to use as part of your everyday meals.

Thats just my take on it.

I think you are right for most of them. I know there are a few hard core 100% Huelers, not necessarily on the forum. And not everyone needs to keep posting here but it’s definitely a challenge to keep at it long term.

Treating yourself to 100% Huel every now and again is great, but I perhaps wouldn’t suggest moving to a 100% Huel diet 100% of the time if you don’t need to. While Huel is nutritionally complete at 2000 calories, we know the importance of including a wide variety of foods in the diet for good gut health. Even just breaking up your Huel meals with nutritious snacks like fruit, nuts and yogurt would help to keep things interesting for you and your gut microbes. In the same vein, if you are going to take the plunge and do 100% Huel, incorporating both Black Edition and v3.1 (‘white’ Huel) would provide more of a mixture of ingredients e.g. v3.1 contains oats
