@clairabelle_xox WOOOOOOOO!!! That’s great!!! Well done!

It’s always so good when the scales reflect the effort you’ve put in. Here’s to another good week :slightly_smiling_face::green_heart:

Good week this week, 100% on plan, weigh day tomorrow. No real challenges in terms of business trips or social events. Perhaps not as much exercise as no bouncing around at a festival for 3 days though :joy:

This week’s proud of myself point definitely this weekend, my sons band have been staying for the weekend (4 teenagers!), I’ve been cooking them food-they-consider-suitable, bacon & egg rolls, fried chicken and chips, hot dogs, and there has been aLOT of sweets and cakes consumption! Not only have I not touched any of it, I’ve not even really been interested. Having served them up with fried chicken and chips last night I returned to the kitchen to cook myself something healthy to have with a well deserved G&T.

I keep waiting for THAT day, like I had a couple of weeks ago, when temptation just becomes too much and suddenly I’m 1600 calories over my limit :joy: but so far so good. No doubt it will happen at some point!

Oddly I don’t actually feel like I’ve lost weight this week, I feel heavy and bloated, not sure what that’s all about. May not get my usual workout in today as I woke up with a cold yesterday, did my usual swim but feeling pants today so may give myself the day off.

In the mean time I’m sat in the sun in my garden with my coffee and my Huel, listening to my sons band practice for their upcoming gig (my lounge has been turned into “the band room” - aka total chaos :joy:)

Keeping my fingers crossed for the scales in the morning. Happy Sunday all x

@clairabelle_xox I find I get really bloated whenever I have peanuts or peanut butter now. I tend to only have it once every three days or so in a Huel shake, but I can really tell.
I also get bloated when I’m near or on my period, so your time in the month might be having an effect on you too. Apparently you can gain several pounds just before a period so it’s not a good idea to weigh in just before it all kicks off!

Sounds like you have been amazing this week! I’m so impressed you were around so much temptation and just kept on smashing it  You should be so proud! :green_heart:
I hope you see a result you want tomorrow, but even if you don’t, just remember the whoosh phenomenon and know in yourself that it will show up (or down!) at some point x

Thanks Tami, I do tend to find I have a small loss followed by a bigger loss on fortnightly cycles. Period wise, I’ve definitely been on the receiving end of the effects of ‘star week’ (as they say in Slimming World) on the scales before! I don’t think it’s that but I have a Mirena coil and haven’t had a period in about 10 years so never quite sure lol x

@clairabelle_xox I just had to google Star Week! That’s so funny!!

Well good luck tomorrow anyway, and if it’s not a great result, then even better luck for next week when you’ll be due a massive drop!! x

@clairabelle_xox thank you so much for writing about your journey! I’m so inspired and I love how you are so positive. Definitely given me the little boost I needed to keep going by reading this thread! X

Oh thank you so much! I’ve been supported and inspired by so many people I’ve ‘met’ online through my weightloss journeys over the years, it’s lovely to think I might be doing similar for someone else x

2lbs off this morning! Yay! A smaller loss but given that I felt like I might not have lost anything that’s absolutely fine with me! Going to aim for 3lbs this week which would take me to 2.5 stone off

1st April: Start weight 16st 11lbs BMI 42.1
3rd June: 14st 7lbs BMI 34.8
Total loss: 32lbs

Thank you!

Urgh, full of cold (day 3) and feeling rotten, with a mental workload, and trying to do the first of 2 fast days this week (600cals, 4 x 150cal Huel meals) to set me up for a girls day out with my old uni housemates in Oxford on Saturday where there will undoubtedly be prosecco! Really wanted to hit some comfort food, or at least have something warm and chewable. Decided to take 1scoop of chocolate Huel powder, mix it with a little water and bake it to see if it would make a sort of biscuit. It wasn’t amazing, to be fair, it puffed a little bit, had a heavy cake like texture, but it was warm and chewable. Sitting heavily in my stomach now, probably won’t try it again haha!

Tell me to butt out, but honestly wouldn’t recommend such a deficit when ill! You’re doing freaking amazing, let your body recover when it needs it.

Thank you Phil. You are undoubtedly right. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you!

@clairabelle_xox He’s absolutely right, give yourself a break.

I did a similar thing with one scoop of Huel and some cacao and cherries. Attempted to make a mini cake. It was pretty gross but I ate it anyway :joy:

You’re doing so well, hope you’re feeling better now and are recovered for your day on Saturday with the girls! :green_heart:
