So… I need some RTD to take on a day long hike this weekend as I’m not going to have room in my rucksack for shakers and ice packs for making up powder.
My question is…
Those of you who really hate Berry powder - do you like Berry RTD?
Berry powder was undrinkable for me personally. I know people are saying Berry RTD is different. But has anyone who hated the powder actually found the berry RTD nice???
I’ve left it a bit late to try it out… so if I buy it it’s gonna be a gamble on the day
Sorry not tried Berry powder but I thought the RTD was ok, give it a gamble @ChristinaT I was pleasantly surprised by it I don’t usually like that flavour. The vanilla is nice I thought as well.
I didn’t like either of the vanilla powders and don’t tend to like vanilla flavour anything! So thought the Berry was a slightly better gamble. I’m not convinced I’m gonna like it… I really only like UU plus cacao and sometimes a tiny bit of vanilla added for extra sweetness.
They need to do a chocolate RTD. I’m surprised they haven’t. Chocolate and / or salted caramel would be a winner for sure
I took one out with me today meaning to try it but didn’t! (I took my chocolate powdered one for lunch and berry for tea, but ended up coming home and cooking dinner instead!)
So I’ll try the berry RTD tomorrow
I’m quite surprised that the RTD says use within 12hrs even refrigerated.
The powdered huel lasts a good 24hrs in the fridge.
Anyone left the RTD in the fridge (opened) for a day ? Does it really go off that fast?
Well, I’m trying it now for breakfast (the berry rtd).
It’s drinkable… which I’m relieved about (after my berry powder experience!)
The flavour is quite nice but it’s really sweet.
I guess I’m used to UU. Or a mix of UU with original to reduce the sweetness.
I’d like to see a dark bitter chocolate version with no sucralose…
Sucralose just tastes so sweet it’s too much for me.
So my verdict on berry RTD is hmmm yeah it’s ok. It will be handy for when I can’t have access to refrigeration.
I like the slim shape of the bottle. It’ll fit in my tiny hiking rucksack nicely
Took Berry RTD on a 25 mile hike today.
It was perfect. It stayed nice and cold in my bag (pre-refrigerated and next to frozen mini juice cartons).
I added cacao to take the sweetness off.
It was delicious
It was actually the perfect hiking food. Kept my energy up and didn’t sit heavy in my stomach.
I jumped in icy waterfalls too
Lush day
I can see myself using RTD for this kinda thing pretty regularly - it’s literally perfect
