What he ^^^ said. Best before dates mean that it’s only guaranteed to be as described until that date. Afterwards they can’t guarantee that there won’t be a little degradation. Use your nose: if it doesn’t smell right, it probably isn’t…

I’ve had one bag of vanilla 2.2 and enjoyed that… this 2.1 bag has a different smell and taste which is why I posed the question.
The bag was old but sealed, it had started to degrade a little in the corners so have swapped out into a newer bag.
I suppose inllnjsut try it a see.
