Unrelated to Huel, but maybe the diet buffs can give me a bit of advice.
I nicked some creatine tablet thingies off my girlfriend. They contain 1g of Creatine Monohydrate and 1.8g of Dextrose Monohydate per tablet. They’re quite sweet and this concerns me. Is my fat loss (among other things: mental welfare, etc) going to be affected by ingesting 12g of Dextrose Monohydrate per day? (In order to get 6g of Creatine. I might as well just buy some creatine, but you know, I’m a tightwad.)
I’ve searched the internet but I can’t come across anything particularly concise.
Dextrose is basically just glucose - just a different “form” of it. So that’s just a couple of teaspoons of sugar…I doubt that will make any difference to your fat loss!
Hmm. I don’t consume any other forms of sugar really… For reference I’m roughly 9% BF right now, so it’s getting to the point where every little makes a difference…
If you’re not consuming many other “simple sugars” then 12 grams of dextrose won’t do you any harm, it’s virtually nothing. It certainly won’t be the limiting factor of your weight-loss program - that’s for sure, considering you already live a healthy and otherwise active lifestyle.
