Glyceamic index, load and water quantity

Hi,

Does water quantity affects glyceamic index and thus glyceamic load of huel powder?
Has the 27 GI been measured from powder or powder + water?

@Dan_Huel

Thanks

Hi @vanquish, @Dan_Huel is away on holiday sunning himself at the moment so thought I would step in!

Water intake won’t affect glycaemic index or load. To determine the GI of a food, participants have to consume the product and their blood glucose is tested over various intervals. To do this test with a powder, it has to be mixed with water (a bit tricky to ingest the powder as is, we don’t want a cinnamon challenge situation!).
