Hot huel for breakfast?

Had anyone refined a good method for using Huel powder (specifically Black in my case) but hot, to use it sort of like porridge for breakfast on cold days?

Sadly no. I have thought about this before too! I now buy the protein powder and add a scoop to oats and water to make a flavoured porridge. I hope you find some ideas!

Doesn’t really work. I mean it’s ok as a warm drink if that’s your thing but not as a porridge. I have added Huel to porridge however but that’s not really what you are after

I make a Huel and oat overnight oats thing in the fridge - I tend to graze on it cold throughout the day but it would be bangin’ warmed up, although I’d probably suggest using less-strong flavours (e.g. vanilla or banana instead of chocolate or salted caramel, as the stronger flavours tend to taste a bit artificial when warmed-up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

Al’s nutriend-dense overnight oats bowl

  • 150ml milk / plant-based milk / water
  • 40-60g huel (depending on flavour - less needed for choc, more for banana and strawb)
  • 20g oats
  • 20g chia seeds
  • 150ml water

Blend until smooth

  • 20g chia seeds or chia/flax/cocmix
  • 60g oats / granola
  • Sprinkle of fruit if you like - prunes, raisins, whatevs

Give it a good stir!
