Hot & Savoury Mix & Match idea

I know what I’m going to say can be challenging in terms of packing and all that but I’ll say it anyway.
In the end, the flavours are in the powder, right? The pasta, rice, bits and bobs are all for texture. What if we could choose the flavour and pasta/rice/bitsandbobs at will? Like when you order a pizza, you select the base and the toppings. If I select pasta and rice, too many carbs, put 50/50. If the bits and bobs add something else than texture then some sort of calculation could indicate you are going overboard… or maybe disable some bits when you select something that covers for that same nutrient.

Give it a thought, it could be challenging but you can make it more expensive and see how it goes. Also people will spend more money just trying to get the sweet spot for them, win win!

Interesting idea but totally unworkable. The folks in the warehouse don’t have time to tweak the ratios for every single person. Imagine I want two less bits and four more bobs than you. Even that will take time.

Huel will never suit everyone whatever they do. Right now they are serving 400 calories packets but some want 500, or they want to mix them.

I like mixing carbonara with mac & cheese so that means I have to open a cup and a sachet and split them unless I want 800 calories.

Sounds like an interesting idea but it does seem quite impossible.

Logistically trying to make this up on the spot per order would probably cause may issues not even mentioning the cost element to make this happen! We don’t want to increases prices as we want to remain affordable as possible.

That being said, what sort of combination was you thinking? Are you talking like a Thai green curry pasta type thing?

Hi Mark,

I was thinking something like (making it up on the spot) Flavour: Mac&Cheese Pasta: The curly one in the chicken & mushroom. BitsAndBobs: Chewee pillows in the Cajun pasta and also the baconish bits from the carbonara.

Maybe you could limit the combinations so that you don’t end up with hundreds of different products. The mix&match tool could guide you on a step by step widget, showing you only the options available depending on what you selected before.

Challenging, I know. I’m giving this idea as a nice-to-have, I still love Huel as it is now.
