Huel Porridge - is it tasty?

Ok so this morning I had a bowl of oats - I like to eat them raw and uncooked. I decide I would add 2 scoops of Huel to it and mix it in with my spoon.

Worst.
Idea.
Ever.

Yes, I once tried making hot Huel as a porridge. While it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, it wasn’t the best either.

I tend to add a tablespoon to my oats before I put them in the microwave. I don’t notice any difference in taste and it makes them a little more filling. Maybe 2 scoops are too much?

I’ve been experimenting with trying to perfect Huel porridge and have settled on the following recipe (just under 250 calories in total):

  • 25g Huel (vanilla)
  • 25g oats
  • 15g raisins
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 200ml water

Add ingredients to a bowl, stir and microwave for 90 seconds. Stir, then microwave for a further 60 seconds. Stir again.

If I’m mega hungry in the morning I just double up the ingredients. It’s yummy (IMO) :smiley:

Thanks Jake, that’s a great looking recipe, must try it out! I will add my raisins after the microwaving as hot raisins remind me of my school bread and butter pudding…
