Huel Power Balls

This is currently my favourite snack which I wanted to share with you.

So how to make this?

Put the following items in a bowl:

  • 2 scoops Huel Black Vanilla
  • 1 scoop Whey powder
  • 2 tbs chia seeds
  • 2 tbs peanut butter
  • 2 tbs cranberries
  • 1 tbs honey

Add a bit of water. It’s needs to become a sticky dough.

Roll them into balls and through desiccated coconut. And put in the fridge for at least an hour.

Enjoy!

…I really shouldn’t

Would take away from this amazing recipe …

I can’t help it. Which scoops?

What do you mean? I used the 45gr scoop for Huel Black and for the whey powder there is a scoop of 32gr in it. Does this answer your question?

I was gonna go with that, but black is deffo new scoop territory. #scoopgate

Very interesting, I will try this as there is no baking involved to preserve the nutrients.

Which could be the best way to wrap them individually for travelling or working?

I don’t know… We’re stuck at home because of corona so don’t know how I would take them with me

Amazeballs (truely the only time I have ever used that term). Bizarrely for once I have all the ingrediants, bar the cranberries.

You can always substitute. Use maple syrup instead of honey, use pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds instead of chia, use finely chopped cashews instead of desiccated coconut.

As long as you end up with a sticky dough this recipe cannot go wrong.

Think I’m going to use peanut butter powder (less fat) and slightly increase the honey (to make a sticky dough). And crushed rice cakes for the coating.

You’ve given me inspiration. Thank you!

That’s sounds awesome!! Let me know how it turned out!

Will do. Be well.

Hi,

here goes

100g Huel Black Vanilla
30g Whey powder (cafe latte)
30g chia seeds
30g peanut butter flour
1tbs marmite (stay with me)
1tbs honey (and perhaps a bit more)
4 smashed and rolled marmite rice cakes (seriously like marmite)
smidge of peanut butter flour

Stayed a wee bit wetter than I wanted but didn’t want to add more dry ingredients.

They look rather more ‘rustic’ than your tip-top version but love the taste.

Maybe a silly question but what is Marmite?

I’m from the Netherlands and have never tasted it. It is available here but I’ve not dared to try it. Don’t even know what you use it for.

But several people already mentioned this on the forum so I have to ask.

Marmite is very savoury/salty/umami tasting. You may either love it or hate it. I enjoy it spread thinly on toast or crispbreads but not too often.

its also good using a tablespoon of it as a flavour enhancer in soups, casseroles, marinades etc.

@DvdVgt do you eat the balls as a quick lunch? Or when do you have them?
