Quality feedback.
I’ve the same experience with June batch. Will look for numbers later but similar with grainy chewy bits. Still edible (has to be as I’ve lots left) (raised with customer services already having been sent short dated rtd, berry particularly, on last two orders)
BL13u 8313 10:21. Not sure if that’s u or v tbh
Is there any expected date or quarter to develop the RTD that could handle 1 year of shelflife?
Made my first RTD order yesterday, they’re arriving on Monday. Looking forward to seeing how they compare to Saturo and Soylent.
We’re looking at this - we have to look at all parameters - nutrition, microbial, organoleptic. We need to get it right so I’m not going to commit at this stage. Obviously it’s advantageous for us to have a longer shelf life.

Hahaha
I ordered Huel for a friend at work(new Hueler!) and there was a freebie Vanilla RTD in it. We were very excited and couldn’t wait to try it.
By God!!! It doesn’t taste anything like the powder. Although I anticipated that a bit by reading on the forum, I didn’t think it would be that different. I must admit I did not like it. Brrrrr. I’m sticking to powder. My colleague too. And another one that was excited to see the shiny bottle and gave it a try, was sadly also not convinced. Bummer.
Reason being? (too sweet, taste different etc)
The taste was a lot different. For me it had an unpleasant bitter note and a slightly off-putting soury taste which reminded me of sour milk. I didnt taste any of the oaty taste I like so much in the powder. Maybe because the main ingredient in the RTD is peas and not oats?
My order of Berry RTD arrived first thing this morning. Just in time for breakfast. The verdict? YUM Love it! Much less of that strange underlying taste I experienced with the Chocolate RTD plus really nice strawberry overtones. Sweet but not too sweet. I must try another sample of Vanilla at some stage before committing to buy a whole case.
I will definitely buy more Berry, and perhaps Vanilla, in the future, but very much doubt I will order more Chocolate.
i finally got to try RTD (chocolate) thanks to the ‘try one bottle’ order add-on (having tried all the flavoured powders and not got on with any of them i wasn’t about to purchase a pack of 12 anything, lol)
The chocolate RTD tastes amazing, i love it.
Am super curious to know what is the ingredient difference that means that this product totally lacks the sweetener after-taste that accompanies all of the flavoured powders. The RTD is delicious, but all the flavoured powders make me gip. Anyone know what makes the difference ?
You can find lists of ingredients for all products on the Huel website if you want to compare.
I tried RTD for the first time today, I got it in chocolate flavour as chocolate powder is my go-to. I’m suprised at how different they taste…I knew the consistency and texture would be different but I didn’t expect this sort of taste. RTD is much sweeter. I didn’t dislike it but I much prefer the powder. Nice to know I can grab a RTD from Sainsburys when out and about and wanting a healthy snack though.
