Huel RTD Plastic Bottle Issues

Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed variability in the thickness of the plastic of Huel RTD bottles, particularly the vanilla flavour.

I first noticed this after buying bottles in the supermarket: there was a thicker band of plastic around the top quarter (below the neck) of the bottle. I’ve just opened a delivery straight from Huel, and the bottles seem to have thicker plastic around the bottom quarter. Previously I thought the body of the bottles was a uniform thickness.

This isn’t the same for the other flavours I’ve had recently including banana and chocolate brownie.

Anyone else noticed this? Reckon the bottles are safe to drink given all the microplastic worry these days?

Maybe the difference is down to where they are manufactured, UK or elsewhere, hence the discrepancy.

I’m sure I read somewhere on here that some are made in UK and others in Germany. I’ll see if I can find the link…
