Just starting out 100% Huel

I like Walkers ready salted and Quavers. Mostly Quavers nowadays.

Yes indeed.

I’m craving crisp butties now :yum:

Hi there, hope you had a good day!

Quick update: Today was the first day I had 2 Huel shakes combined with a normal healthy diner and I feel amazing! I have learned that using a mixer is a total game changer together with sometimes mixing a banana or some frozen fruit with it, does wonders! Now I have no problem drinking 2/3 meals Huel, but I do admit that diner never tasted so good even if it was just a salad  Next monday I will weight myself again so I am excited to see what a week and a half Huel did to my body

Have a nice week!!

Greats,
Charlotte

i have a nutri bullet so i might try this! i was worried that blending it would change the nutritional elements or something weird like that
Does almond milk improve the taste at all?

@Marshmallows Blending is fine. Almond milk makes it thicker and tastes a bit creamier. I use 100ml almond milk with 300ml water to 100mg Huel powder. That’s for a shake. If I was blending with fruit I would use more liquid.

I’ll test that out - thanks!

I’m sure you will soon sort out your own preferences. Some people like thicker Huel and some like more liquid. Good luck with the experimentation :+1::grin:

I like my Huel like I like my women.

'er indoor went to Tesco yesterday and bought some vegan onion ring crisps…a big bag of them - 150g - they were on offer/half price at 28p. They are so moreish, I had do decline them while we were watching the last 3 episodes of Killing Eve as once I had one I would have had half a bag. They are nice in a crisp sandwich, with a sprinkling of black pepper and white pepper.

Killing Eve Series 2 was a bit of a disappointment I thought.

Alpro almond milk is definitely the best in my opinion as I like it nice and thick and this gives you a milkshake like consistency when blended with ice and not too much liquid (350-400ml with 100g).
Somebody with more knowledge may explain why Alpro gives a thicker consistency but I believe it has something to do with it containing gum. Works for me though!

Yep, that is the reason

Huel contains xanthan and guar gums as thickeners/emulsifiers, Alpro almond drink contains locust bean and gellan gums for the same reason. Adds up.

Much more comprehensive than my answer. Thank you :joy:

Bee, Aye, Gum.

That’s my best pun of the day. Hope there are some folk from Yorkshire who will appreciate it.
