Just starting out 100% Huel

Ee ah thowt that were from Lancashire, laddie.

If it is north of Bristol it is all the same to me.

Still I did quickly google it and this is Yorkshire:

Yep Alpro turns Huel into thick pudding. If you fancy eating it with a fork, leave it in the fridge overnight to thicken up. Also useful if you need to increase your water intake - means you can add more water for the same consistency.

Made some fluffy Huel pancakes today, they were AMAZING! And no you don’t get half a pancake  , I already ate half of it before I realised to take a picture, that is how delicious they were :see_no_evil:

Recipe: mix it all together
• 1 egg
• 2 scoops of Huel powder (I used original)
• 1 banana
• Milk to make it smoother into a pancake consistency (I think I used about 100ml of Oat milk)

My question is if you use Huel powder as flour and you bake with it, won’t most of the protein, vitamins, phytonutrients, … be destroyed, because of the heat wich denatures the proteins and stuff?

I have lot more energy then normal, but today was a less pleasant day as I had to run to the toilet like 7 times :poop:

Have a nice evening!

Question: The last couple of days I am sooo hungry, like my stomach is empty hungry and I can’t even sleep! I take 2 scoops, 1 banana, 400ml oat milk in one shake and one hour later I am hungry again? I try to ignore because I just had like 600kcal?! Did you guys have this too? Normaly before Huel I had oatmeal for breakfast (40gr oats + 150ml milk = 200kcal ) and I was full until lunch time?!

My daily food intake:
• Morning: 600kcal shake (2scoops, 1 banana, 400ml oat milk)
• Lunch: (2scoops + 400ml oat milk) = 450kcal
• Diner: healthy 500kcal meal (mostly some pasta with veggies or chicken with veggies)

= 1500kcal

Any tips/advise?

Greats,
Charlotte

Might need more calories on days when youre exercising? I may have missed it but have you calculated how many calories you need on one of those TDE thingies? On days when I burn a lot of calories I am hungry, really tired and mega grumpy if I don’t sneak another Huel/pizza/crisp sandwhich in. Calorie deficits on those days don’t work for me, but I try not to stuff my face after exercising. I plan ahead and do it before.

I quite enjoyed the second series of Killing Eve but then I’d read lots of reviews before I watched it that said it was crap so I had pretty low expectations. I did think Jodie Comer was excellent again though.

I’ve not read any reviews on it.

Agreed re. Judge Comer.

It was a different script writer so not sure if that was the reason. The plot was a bit weak, Hugh swarthes of the story added little to the plot…not sure how true to the novels the to show is tho.

Yes i calculated how much TDE I should have on one of those sites and it said around 1550kcal for a -0,5 kg weight loss a week, but indeed maybe I need some more calories on work out days, I have been busy and very active these days with biking alot around the town so that maybe it!

Thanks for the help!

For real, I mean… you need more cal’s than that :joy: 100mg Huel … :stuck_out_tongue:
