New Huel shaker/flask coming

I forgot to mention that it’s hard to clean with a sponge as I can’t get my hand to the bottom!

Day 2

Using the new scoop

Using 300ml of Oat milk, now you can easily see the 500ml line with the darker liquid

Works much better with little mess this time! NEW SCOOP FOR THE WIN!

And this is more a picture for @Tim_Huel & @Bee to show that I don’t normally remove the lid.

I dont think I’ve ever used a sponge to clean my current tritan shakers. Because it is smooth and non permeable, if I wash straight after finishing, usually adding a little detergent and water then shaking it before rinsing it out a couple of times is enough to clean it. if the liquid remains have dried out then ill just leave to stand filled with water a few minutes before doing the same cleaning process.

Good to hear about the new scoop. I always find it a bit awkward (= messy) with my current older ones when making H&S in the Huel pot. I’ve got one added to my next subs so hopefully that helps.

I only found one small issue with cleaning it. There is an indent which creates a ridge almost like a shoulder level just below where the lid screws on. So the shaker is fractionally wider below and narrows which creates this lip inside. I found there was a line of caked on Huel sitting under this ridge where the shaker narrows. Had to squeeze a sponge in and wipe around the ridge. Difficult to explain but filling with water and shaking didn’t dislodge it completely.

I’ve just cleaned my new shaker bottle right after I had finished. Rinsed under tap first then a quick squoosh around in warm water with a small squirt of detergent added, then a final rinse and turn upside down to dry. No need to wipe the inside as rinsing will leave the smooth surface clean of all debris. Plus instructions say not to use anything scratchy, which makes sense.

Only sends you 1 at a time. So had to order another with my latest order so I had one for H&S and one for Powder

I do like to use a soft sponge but squooshing has been the way I have done second time around and used the sponge around the top and screw.

I’ve started using Huel just a few weeks ago and I’ve enough left for 2 months, but the new shakers are so cool that I couldn’t resist. Tomorrow I should receive some s&c black with them, can’t wait

I ran my finger right round underneath that ‘ridge’ when I was washing it and found it to be very smooth and clean. Did you leave your shaker to dry out after you had drunk the contents? Perhaps if you filled it with water and left it soaking a short time you would find it easier to clean.

I washed it straight away. I think it was probably where I mixed Strawberries & Cream with 50/50 almond milk and water. It was thicker than I’d usually have and I don’t usually use a shaker but a blender. I think it got a bit clumpy just under the ice guard around that ridge. Caked on is probably the wrong way to describe it. It was more that the dregs collected there. It wasn’t all the way round, just a few patches which running warm water into it didn’t dislodge.
