I still have 1 brand new Huel Shaker to send to a loving home for free. Just send me a private message with your details and I’ll try to get this shipped by Monday.
A relative suffers with severe arthritis and it completely fixed it even during the UK winter
As a light breakfast, snack, or daily protein/nutrient top-up the one scoop serving works well.
It digests easily and due to lack of Oats does not cause excess bloating. For a meal replacement, a 2+ scoop serving may be needed in which case Huel Black/Trad might make more economic sense.
Is this low or high FODMAP? If it’s low it’ll be a great alternative to the bars as a snack.
Suppose I’ll bump my question since it got a little buried, how similar is the banana milkshake flavour to banana RTD?
Yes, that’s true Adrián, I agree with John’s comment.
At 105kcal per serving, you’re going to need more calories for a meal. I think @elhu response is spot on.
We’re waiting on test results to confirm Fredrik, I’ll let you know as soon as they’re back.
Will answer my own question from earlier since I bought some, yep the banana milkshake flavour is similar to the banana rtd but with a sweeter flavour to it. Definitely the same base flavour, not too bad.
Though I’ve got a new question - why are the tubs seemingly underfilled? Even with the ‘settles in transit’ thing, if I give the tub a shake to puff it up a bit, it’s still only about 3/5 filled. I’m sure it’s the correct weight (no scales so can’t check) but a smaller tub would save on packaging and storage space. The tub was definitely bigger than I was expecting.
Also apparently it’s supposed to come with a new smaller scoop? I didn’t get one…so if I’m using the normal sized scoops how much do I fill it? Half a scoop?
The scoop is actually in the tub and may be buried in the powder. Or they forgot you.
The scoop is in the tub. Dig deep into the power and you will find the new scoop
Ah it’s in the tub, thanks for the pointers. Was hidden pretty deep down there, had to grab a fork so I didn’t end up with banana fingers
for the same reason the bags are (and why the powder gets lodged in the zipper) - the products are very aerated when they are filled to the point they are almost full, so there is a lot of settling not just in transit but also in production. this doesn’t, of course, explain why potato chip bags are 75% air ![]()
So true. Proper annoys me that one. I love crisps but I hate how much waste I make eating them.
especially because like the Huel bags - they are MLP’s - so a bugger to recycle.
Need to shovel them in your gob a bit less slowly, pal.
I know it does seem mad. We fill the tubs to 90% full at packing stage, there’s some void there to ensure it doesn’t fly all around the factory, but it really does settle a lot!
I usually go to the gym early in the morning (7 am) and have my 2 scoops Huel White breakfast after that workout, would it be advisable to mix in a scoop of this new Protein mix for extra gains?
Isn’t there any system like vibration pads into the production line to remove the air? I am sure that someone has thought of this before
In theory you could vibrate the tub while filling it so it settles more so you need a smaller tub at the end, but practically, the extra machinery you would need to do that in the factory I would imagine would out weight the environmental and cost benefits of a bit of additional recycled plastic once the tub is empty.
You are obviously an expert when it comes to vibrators
