Newbie - Quick 2 Questions

1 - Can I mix my powder with any lactose free milk?
2 - What mix quantities do I need to have to match the Huel bottled drinks?

1 - yes
2 - you’ll never get a perfect match, so you’ll have to do some trial and error as I’ve found various milks have different thickening effects on the shakes.

Whatever you do don’t use Alpro Soy and then let it sit in the fridge before drinking, there’s something just straight up wrong with the resulting texture.

I found all of the Alpro ones create very gloopy - almost slimy - textures when you mix them and leave them in the fridge. really not pleasant but some people love them

I think some plant-based milks don’t work very well because of the gums/thickeners used in the milk. Over time it creates this unwanted texture with Huel.

We’ve got a great article which might help your decision making!

If only this was a thing :frowning:

Like Phil said, you’ll never match them. I do find that having spare RTD’s great though when you are in a rush and don’t have time to shake it up!
