Order cycle lengths have never made sense to me

It hasn’t entirely been a problem, because I need to adjust my order nearly every month anyway. The whole subscription model never made any sense to me and I only do it for the discount. I mean, does anyone actually use the same amount of the exact same food every four weeks like clockwork? Maybe if you have exactly one shake for breakfast and never deviate. But we all have to pretend we’re subscribers and not just change the date and the order every time we need more Huel.

Anyway, I get paid on the 16th of every month. Sometimes earlier, never later. So that’s when I can afford to buy more Huel for the month. That way my largest expense is out of my account at the start of the month, and I can see what I have left until next payday. On the 16th. Not 4 weeks since the last order, and not 6 weeks either (my closest options, currently). Buying monthly lets my payments be spread evenly and predictably, so my bank balance isn’t see-sawing from month to month.

Is Huel being set up for cycles based on a number of weeks like this just an American thing, because people there get paid every 2 weeks? Because here in the UK I’ve always been paid on the same date of the month with every salary or benefit I’ve had.

Anyway, please let us have a cycle that is based on the day of the month. If we’re going to continue the charade that this is a regular, monthly occurrence that always has the same foods (just like when we go shopping, always buying the exact same set of groceries, who wouldn’t?), we could at least get the dates right. So when I come and change my subscription for the 50th time, I can leave the date alone.

I would like a 28 day pouch, as I get paid every 4 weeks, 17 meals is strange.

To me, it makes more sense going for weeks instead of months, weeks always have 7 days. Not a big difference though, and I also end up changing products and dates.

What doesn’t make sense is the way the next date is updated when you ask for your delivery to be sent straight away. I have it every four weeks, if I need more at the end of week 3, the next delivery date adds four weeks to the original date. Like I ate too much these 3 weeks and now i need to go on a diet to make up for it and make the next one last for 5 weeks.

Yes, dividing a prime number by anything but one or itself will always be awkward. That is a weird number for them to choose.

It’s more likely they chose their ideal package weight, then worked out how many meals it held.
