TWO Weeks In and Still Alive!

Hello all,

I thought I’d write a couple of lines about my experiences so far.

I read a lot about how people managed starting Huel and so started cautiously just having Huel for lunch. I work late which means my evening meal is actually around midnight! Anyway, I loved the lack of feeling heavy after lunch and the evening meal definitely felt like I was feeling even heavier after having Huel for lunch, so went to normal breakfast and Huel for lunch and dinner.

I started out just having Huel with no ‘extras’ and while the flavours were ‘there’, I quickly felt I needed more excitement, so now I add frozen fruit to each Huel. However, the extra water in the fruit made it quite watery, so now I make Huel as follows:

  • 400 ml of water
  • 2 scoops of Huel
  • Handful of assorted frozen fruit

Obviously, with the addition of the frozen fruit, a blender was needed, so I invested £30 quid in a Deik blender with 2 x 570 ml travel bottles. This means that (with the new measurements), I make two huel meals in the morning(without having to use the Huel bottle) which I put in the fridge. These both keep nicely for lunch and dinner.

I have to say, I have found the entire thing very easy and my next step is to get rid of breakfast and go 100% Huel although I think I may find that a little bit boring unless I start investing more time in trying to do different things with Huel.

Anyhoo, very, very satisfied with Huel so far and cannot see myself going back to normal food and feeling bloated and heavy as I always used to.

Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention that I have lost 1 kilo in the last two weeks as well, which is an added bonus!

Happy Huelling All

Giles.

Hey Giles, welcome to the forum! Great to have you on the team. I’m so pleased to hear that you’re getting on with Huel so well. We’ve got tons of tips and tricks at huel.com if you’re finding your regular Huel getting repetitive!

After more than 3 years using Huel I dont find it boring, it is what it is, I can tweak it like sometimes do and add curry for example but mainly I prefer to go with the unflavoured version.
