Hi, I primarily drink the chocolate flavour and I have noticed every time I buy the white version of the Huel there are white chunks/ flakes along the rim and inside the Huel. There have not been any adverse effects thus far from drinking them but it is quite off-putting. I was wondering if there is a change in the ingredients or something that I have missed? I shake them well before opening too so I cannot see how it is not dissolving if the substance is soluble?
Welcome to the forum!
I’d like to shed some light on what might have happened here.
At times, during transportation, the content of the bottle can get shaken around. This results in a thin film of liquid forming in the inner walls of the bottle. Over time, there is evaporation, leaving behind solidified flakes or lumps that can become dislodged when the bottle is shaken.
Of course, we take all things like this serious so drop us an email to team@huel.com and we’ll have look into this for you.
You can fix this by filling the bottle 100%. No possibility of dried Huel bits. Slightly better for the environment because you’re not shipping empty space to customers. Plus you’ll get loads of posts here that say “I opened my Huel and it spilled all over me!” which will be brilliant.
