I honestly assumed it was already discontinued, because it was so hard to find on the website.
Impossible to be true - it would involve drawing huge power for a short time. Switching fluorescents off and on leads to quicker failure, so there is some minimum amount of time where it is not worth switching off to save the cost of electricity (because the impact to replacement costs outweighs it). The threshold time depends on the economics and the lifetime of the lamp in hours and switch cycles.
Aye you could be right. I never researched it myself. And you don’t really have them any more.
