im 31 years old, 6ft1 and 22 stone, my fat is mostly located around my gut, I’ve just received my first package of Huel, looking to start on monday, I’m jumping straight in at 100% Huel, just looking for any advice on how many shakes i should be having daily to lose weight, I’m a full time dad to 3 young kids so I’m fairly active.

How many calories a day are you consuming at the moment? That would be a good starting point, if you have any idea.
Many would advise against leaping into 100% Huel off the bat too. Start with 1 or 2 meals a day and work up…
not quite sure on calorie intake, it varies from day to day, i don’t eat breakfast or lunch, only really eat in the evening once kids have gone to bed, i will have to try and work it out and get back to you

Calorie counting on 100% Huel is quite easy once you get the hang of it.
Has your weight been this for a long time. Has it been stable, or is it decreasing?
Eating just one meal a day in the evening is not the best way of doing things either…although there is nothing wrong with intermittent fasting in my eyes. At least Huel gives you the opportunity to have quick meals throughout the day, and as someone who almost never ate breakfast, I find Huel very good.

- Start off slowly to give your body the most time to adapt to such a dietary change. We would suggest over the course of a couple of weeks.
- Assess you calorie needs using the calorie calculator
- Reduce calorie consumption by 500kcal per day.
- Spread this over the course of the day.
