Alternative binding agent formula?

I’ve started my second bag of gluten free vanilla Huel. I have IBS (mostly constipation so I was already on a high fibre diet) and am intolerant to gluten, onions, fresh and UHT cow milk (my go-to is oat), pea protein when it’s masquerading as minced ‘meat’, and many other foods to a lesser degree.

Since using the FODMAP elimination and reintroduction diet, for my food intake I’ve been pretty well behaved. My Achilles heel is lunch… I run my own business and when I let myself get hungry I make bad food decisions. That’s why I started on Huel for lunch.

Even after an entire bag at one meal a day, I am still suffering from the most awful gastro symptoms. I drink extra water, have introduced chia seeds and milled flaxseed and doubled my constipation meds back to where they were before I improved my diet.

I’ve checked the forums on here and loads of people are having the same issues as me.

I would like to ask whether the CEO etc are working on a formulation with alternative emulsifiers, ie. instead of guar gum and xanthan gum? I know that in high amounts and over many meals, too much of these ingredients is a problem for many, many people. Rather than stop buying Huel, it would be amazing to know that those of us in this minorikty were being heard and looked after.
