Anyone else had problems with DPD Local or DPD?

Hi Tim,

Here is the reply I got back from Huel customer services,

Hi Ian,

Great to hear from you. Thanks for choosing Huel.

I have looked into this for you and your local depot has advised us that they do not delivery to pick-up shops any longer.

We were not able to find out as to why but it appears to have been an internal decision.

Could you please advise whether you would like your parcel delivered to your neighbour instead?

If so, is there a neighbour you would prefer to have the parcel delivered to?

Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.

Kind Regards,
Emilija

It’s a weird one no idea what the problem is.

Ian

The Halfords near my office (Bristol) used to take in DPD parcels but suddenly stopped one day.

I feel your pain. :frowning:

Not trying to rub it in but I had my Huel delivered to my local Halfords today so it can’t be a DPD wide thing.

I had problems getting my Huel delivered. A driver decided to do his own thing instead of delivering how I had requested. I put in a complaint and sorted it but will wait to see what happens on the next delivery.

I think until all of these delivery companies are pretty much the same. While drivers are pressured to make so many deliveries in such a small space of time the service with always be hit and miss. I am disabled and it takes me a while to get to the door. They just don’t have the time to wait and deliver the parcels properly.

I asked DPD customer services about it and they came back to me and said my Halfords do still take them in but Huel’s parcel was oversized. I asked them how come they have took them in previously for me since last August, and if that’s the case for other pick up points in my area. But they haven’t got back to me yet. Really weird, I don’t understand them.
Also in the Pick up locations list Argos isn’t listed ( actually Halfords wasn’t either last time I looked for some reason ??? ) but I have recently ordered some premium engine oil for my car and asked for it to be delivered to Argos. I have received a confirmation email saying it’s been sent out with tracking number and it’s being delivered by… Yep you got it lol, DPD.

Had my reply from DPD, apparently there saying the size of the Huel deliveries ( just the 2 bags for me every time ) are too big for pick up locations. I queried why is it just now I have had a problem with Halfords, they say it’s strange but maybe there being more strict now with the size of the parcels. And they said I would probably have the same problem with a different pick up shop but some shops aren’t so strict or don’t check the size.

I am having problems now with DPD Russia. On 28th of June I sent a parcel with a defective vacuum cleaner I just bought from Saratov to the service center in Moscow. Since DPD office in Saratov is located rather far from the center of the city in a warehouse area, I selected the option ‘from door to door’ not knowing that this option does not allow the sender to pay, but only to the person or organization who receives the parcel. When I tried to pay the courier, he refused and said that I could pay later. I tried to pay both via the internet and in the DPD office in Saratov, but they refused to take my money and notified me that internet payments are not allowed in their company. As a result, the service center in Moscow refused to take the parcel, they keep it now in the DPD warehouse in Moscow, and I do not know when I can receive it and send again to the same service center but with a different company.
