Bars discontinued

The marketing team certainly know how to keep us on our toes, patience is a virtue.

I am sure that the NPD team are working really hard, we have trusted huel in the past, this one is out of our hands all we can do now is see what they have come up with! What would you like to see huel produce?

Ooh love the idea of Huel pancakes and cookies! I’ll make sure to pass the suggestions on to our product development team!

Vanilla Original flavor functions fine as a hot porridge… just sayin’

I have been making Huel into excellent cookies and cakes for ages. I love chewing…

Simplest form: original powder, ginger, cinnamon and a little clove powder, some water, optional: add nuts and dried cranberries, a little oil, or date syrup. Shape into a big flat pancake on glass baking plate covered with silicon mat, prick all over with fork, bake 15 mins at 350/200 with 30% microwave. If needed, finish drying and crisping it by just microwaving on full a couple more minutes. Yum! My breakfast.

that sounds delicious. :yum:

The 3 spices can be replaced by pumpkin spice…

I also make great cheese huel crackers…

Does cooking destroy nutrients? I imagine some micro nutrients may be heat sensitive.

If anybody is interested in any bars, I’ve got plenty in stock. £5 each or 2 for £12.

Some water soluble vitamins are broken down by heat. But supplements containing the standard vitamins are usually cheap. If you are in doubt, you could use a supplement that contains water soluble vitamins only.
The only documented hypervitaminosis is for vitamin A - it’s the only vitamin you must not overdose.
And I would also be careful with other fat-soluble vitamins like D, E and K.

Depends on the cooking method and time taken.

  • Microwaving does some of the least damage as its typically very short exposure. Most nutrients are relatively unaffected while, about 25% of vitamin C is lost during microwaving.

  • Grilling or broiling will see off around 40% of vitamins and minerals that may be lost.

  • Boiling, simmering, and poaching will reduce them by about 60% however most of these are retained in the liquid so if you are making a stew or soup – not a huge loss.

  • Roasting or baking results in surprisingly little loss except for B vitamins which lose about 40%

  • Similarly, frying also has little loss except for C vitamins and Omega-3 which is almost completely destroyed.

  • Steaming is the best option for all vitamins and minerals with losses in single digit percentages.

Nearly out of bars.
Hurry up there @huel

The new bar looks dangerously like the lovechild of a snickers and the original Huel bar

Holy moly  where did you see this? How soon? HOW SOON?!

This for real??
Where you see?
I’m having trouble seeing this as 200kcal and tasting good…

Huel posted it on their socials.

I saw this last week on Reddit but have been busy with moving but hadn’t actually seen it on any legit Huel socials I’ve read.

Just ordered a load of singles of bar 3.1. I’m not sure if they will be in stock…,
Waiting for an email to say they are not…

Edit. - got em. Some are quite squashed but I don’t care.

nutrition info is only up on US site so far - 180 cal / 13g protein per bar. Sugars gone up a very small amount, salt reduced a little. looking at ingredients, chocolate plays a bigger part in them than other comparable products.
