It’s reported that Bryan Johnson recommends psychedelic drugs as part of his anti-aging programme. So, maybe +1 on the rock & roll.
I’ve been on a recent deep dive learning about Bryan Johnson. It’s a fairly extreme approach, but I do like his methodology and his willingness to open source his data without needing to buy stuff from him, although he does now sell various products - He seems happy for people to source things themselves… He’s basically being a guinea pig so you don’t have to. The bulk of the $2m USD he’s spending seems to be on the medical team that he uses to test the results of everything he tries. He’s a pretty funny guy and doesn’t seem to be taking himself too seriously and doesn’t care if people mock him.
Today I tried making his “Super Veggie” meal from ingredients I bought at the supermarket and it was actually delicious. Certainly something that can easily integrate alongside Huel.
The other thing that REALLY interests me about him is his research on sleep. Without good sleep you are not optimising how the nutrition you are consuming is used by your body. It’s the foundation of everything.
I’ll certainly be following his progress from a distance, dipping in to try various strategies that fit in with my life.
Almost identical thoughts about Bryan. Thank you for sharing! I can relate—I’ve had a similar experience with Blueprint’s ‘Super Veggie.’ While it might be a placebo effect, we always feel great after eating it. We’ve also tried adding Huel Black to Bryan’s other recipe, ‘Nutty Pudding,’ as a protein powder substitute, and it’s absolutely delicious
