you can get the unsweetened one and just add the sweetener of your choice if you don’t want to use Sucralose. They are widely available although most seem to be one sugar alcohol or other. most store bought stevia sweeteners are actually blended with other sweeteners but you can get granulated stevia online easily enough.
There isn’t an unsweetened Complete Protein the?? I know there are others available but I like Huel

I have just received my bags of 2.0 and have tried Chocolate Fudge so far.
I’ll be honest, it became a stale, shitty tasting cheap mess. Not as bad as MyProtein, but gosh you really messed up the flavour.
It’s not even the same ballpark of flavour and I have like 4 bags of this thing now.
Hopefully the Strawberry and the Salted Caramel resembles the same flavour as the old one.
I get the cost cutting, I really do, but why mess with the flavour like this? I finally found a protein that does not taste like sand or worse, then it gets tweaked…
The bag is also horribly designed and makes an absolute mess when I try to pour it into the old containers.
I get it, it’s fancy, but can’t you just make it normal like other companies, so it’s not jagged in the outer edges?
Overall, I’ve been a happy customer for a year now, been ordering 8 tubs of your protein every 6-8 weeks or so, but this has really left a sour taste in my mouth.(probably tastes better than your Chocolate Protein now).

I agree. I’ve been getting complete protein for a good year or so, I decided to bulk buy, only to realise the recipes have changed so much that I can’t stomach drinking them. The chocolate is the worst by far, the salted caramel I’m having to down. I’ll be switching up from now on to a different brand unfortunately.

It tastes so different, completely unlike the chocolate flavour. If I had had a blind taste test I wouldn’t of known what it is, best guess possibly banana? It’s very rich, far too sweet. The reason I’ve always loved Huel is because it’s not so sweet. I’m actually really gutted about this as apart from having a lot of wasted product I now need to change to another protein.

Just wanted to throw my opinion in here too. I know that everyone has different tastes but to me the previous chocolate version tasted earthy and the new one tastes either flowery or fruity. The best comparison I could make is to Hotel Chocolate; the previous version tasted like a bar of unsweetened dark chocolate, whereas the new one tastes like one of their flowery truffles. There is a very odd berry taste/sweetness that overpowers everything else. Probably won’t order chocolate much longer because of the change.
The new banana is fine though.
Got new banana and strawberry and cream.
Taste = not as strong.
Product = feels thinner powder so drink less thicker with water.
Can live with it but id say small downgrade.
Bags are pish compared to the tub.
This formula update is a shame. I have a need to control my iron intake and ensure it’s not too high. Huel was one of the few vegan protein powders that didn’t have massive amounts of supplemental iron added to it. Loved it for that. But the new formula tripled the amount of iron compared to the old one. Now I will have to find another vegan protein powder.
In addition, removing the amino acids was also a pretty brutal part of the redesign (albeit not a dealbreaker for me in the same way as the first point).
